The heart rhythm is set by the sinoatrial node. The rhythm of heart can be evaluated in an organized manner. The major concepts that are checked during evaluation included general evaluation, P waves and QRS complexes.
General evaluation is about whether the rhythm is slow or fast and whether it is regular or irregular. P waves evaluation is done by observing P waves, similarity between the P waves, whether QRS complex is associated with the P wave and whether PR interval is constant. QRS complexes are evaluated by observing related association with P waves, width of QRS complex, whether the QRS complexes are grouped or not and whether there are any dropped beats.
The normal sinus rhythm indicates proper functioning of sinoatrial node as lead pacemaker. Atrial rate is indicated in normal sinus rhythm. Sinus arrhythmia means difference in heart rhythm due to respiratory variation. Normal inhalation and exhalation have effect on heart rhythm. Heart rhythm is faster at the time of inhalation and is slower during exhalation. The faster heart rhythm during inhalation is due to the lowering of intrathoracic pressure that occurs in order increase venous return to the heart.
Thus, the given statement is.
